We’d like to kick off this committee with an informational meeting and have this conversation: What makes an engaged, thriving school community for everyone? What are the pressing needs of the Kentfield school community with regard to equity and inclusion? How can the PTA be a liaison and active agent to improve the sense of belonging at Kentfield schools? We hope the Committee will advise the KSPTA Executive Board on effective strategies to better reach and engage the underserved/underrepresented members of the school community as well as assist in implementing those strategies. Moreover, the Committee could act as a liaison with the other entities that are working towards a more inclusive and equitable school community such as ELAC, kik and the Administration.
