Request for Funds

The KSPTA budget includes an Unallocated Reserve which can be used, upon approval, to cover any unexpected or unplanned expenses in the current fiscal year. This is an alternative to the KSPTA Grant Program by which Kentfield School District (KSD) community members can request funds from the KSPTA’s Unallocated Reserve.

Timing

In accordance with KSPTA bylaws, all expenditures must be approved by our Executive Board. All expenditures above $500 must be also be approved by our General Association.

Executive Board and General Association meetings happen every 1-2 months during the school year. This means that after you submit a Request for Funds, it can take a couple of months for the request to be approved.

Process

Any KSD community member can fill out a KSPTA Request for Funds Form and then email the completed form to both [email protected] and [email protected].

In order for the funds to be released:

  1. The KSPTA President and Treasurer would need to agree to bring the request to the next Executive Board meeting.
  2. The KSPTA Executive Board must approve the request.
  3. If the request is $500 or above, the KSPTA General Association must also approve the request at the next Association meeting (see schedule here).

If you have any questions, please email [email protected] and/or [email protected]. We would be happy to answer your questions.
