Katie Greer on Internet Safety (December 11)

The KPSTA is excited, in partnership with KIK and Corte Madera/Larkspur School District, to host Katie Greer, internet safety keynote speaker, for a Parent Education presentation  on Monday, December 11, from 7-8pm at the Kent Library.

Katie began developing an Internet safety program to deliver to Massachusetts students nearly 20 years ago. The Corruption, Fraud and Computer Crime Division of the Attorney General’s Office was inundated with requests for Internet safety presentations, and Katie rose to the challenge of expanding the existing program she pioneered.

After leaving the Attorney General’s Office, Katie worked full time as an Intelligence Analyst for the Massachusetts State Police, where she was assigned to the Missing Children Clearinghouse and subsequently became the Outreach Coordinator for the
Vermont Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Katie is now the CEO of KL Greer Consulting and keynote speaker featured in USA Today, TIME Magazine, Good Housekeeping, NBC News, Proctor and Gamble Everyday, on The O’Reilly Factor, The Meredith Vieira Show, Inside Edition, CNN, The Daily Mail and AJAM. She is also pursuing a Ph.D in Criminology with an exploration on teens and the internet.
