The KSD Parent Ed Committee would like to extend a warm welcome to all the incoming families that are joining our district as well as those returning for the 2013-2014 school year. We hope summer was enjoyable and that all of you had an opportunity to enjoy some sunshine, relax with friends and family, and had plenty of time to play (or do absolutely nothing!).
Every year, the Parent Ed Committee takes time out of their summer break to finalize, coordinate and prepare the speaker series that takes place during the school year. With the financial support of KSPTA and collaboration with school site administration, the committee has put together a program that we all feel is “top notch.”
We are excited to be able to bring local and renowned speakers such as Alan November and Marc Brackett. This 2013-2014 speaker series promises to bring forth topics that will enrich your parenting skills while challenging your mind set. These topics, while not complicated, will cause you to reconsider what you value, how you see the world, and what you, as a parent, can do to make your life, and that of your child, better.
Please take a look at our brochure and set aside these important dates/times. These will be events that you do not want to miss! And, as always, all of our events are free of charge and open to the community.
Feel free to share this information with your friends, family, and anyone else you think will benefit from attending one of our events.
We look forward to see you at one but, hopefully, all of our events.
With great excitement,
The Parent Ed Committee
