Join us for a panel discussion on COM’s new Maintenance Facility next to Kent Middle School
*The KSPTA has not yet taken an official position on this issue.*
As you may be aware, College of Marin (COM) is using Measure B funds to construct a new Maintenance and Operations facility next to Kent Middle School and the Corte Madera Creek. They plan to use the site to collect, compact and transfer trash, store maintenance materials, and house the maintenance vehicles and equipment for the entire COM Kentfield campus.
While the Kentfield School District has filed a lawsuit against COM and the KSPTA hopes for an amicable resolution, this forum is intended to address community concerns about the project’s impact on the kids and staff at Kent and the creek habitat. Our goal is provide an open forum for the public to get information.
Please join us on January 13 at 7pm in the Kent Library to hear a panel discussion with representatives from:
– College of Marin
– The Marin County Office of Education
– Friends of Corte Madera Creek
– Friends of Kentfield Kids and Creeks
