What We Do

The mission of the KSPTA is to support collaboration among parents, teachers, and administrators with the goal of optimizing our children’s education.

We advocate for students, promote communication with parents, support our teachers, and facilitate community involvement. Through our large network of volunteers and our fundraising efforts, we provide support for our children and their endeavors in the Kentfield School District.

What does the KSPTA do with your support?

We use 100% of the funds raised from membership dues, donations, and soft fundraisers in order to organize and support many programs, events, and resources for the Kentfield School District including:

  • Community-building Events
  • Teacher Stipends and School Grants
  • Staff Appreciation
  • Parent Education Speakers
  • Library Books
  • DEI Programs such as SLAM! (Student Leaders’ Antiracist Movement)
  • Garden Programs
  • Earth Day Celebrations & Science Fairs
  • School Dances and Game Nights
  • Student-led Craft Markets
  • Bacich Talent Show
  • Graduation Activities and Ceremonies

How do we differ from KIK?

The KSPTA and KIK (Kentfield Invests in Kids, the Kentfield Schools Foundation) both support the kids in the Kentfield School District. The primary focus of the KSPTA is community-building, while the primary focus of the Kentfield Invests in Kids (KIK), the Kentfield Schools Foundation, is fundraising.
